WE OPERATE ON OUR FAMILY RANCH, WHICH HAS BEEN RAISING HIGH QUALITY MINI HIGHLAND COWS SINCE 2003.
We are a small family breeding stock farm nestled into the mountains of Nash Rd, Chesterfield, VA. All our cattle are registered with the International Miniature Cattle Breeders Registry (IMCBR). Irish Jerseys are perfectly suited for small farms aiming to optimize the use of their restricted land. Additionally, they are excellent producers of beef and milk in a compact and gentle form.
Whether you're seeking an excellent investment, a family dairy or beef cow, show animals, a child's 4-H or FFA project, oxen, or simply a pet for your yard. Every animal on our farm is cared for with compassion and receives the highest quality care we are capable of providing. We aim to pair the animals we sell with the most suitable home, ensuring that you feel satisfied and content with your livestock buy. We appreciate your visit to our website. Kindly take a minute to explore our website and check out our inventory. If you are unable to locate all the information you require on our site, please feel free to reach out to us. Deontrell Live Stock Farm LLC Cattle functions on our family property, Deontrell Live Stock Farm LLC Ranch Company, which has been producing premium black angus beef since 2003. Our ranch is situated in the stunning Sandhills of Chesterfield, VA. Our cattle relish vast stretches of rich grass, clear skies, and unbounded pastures while still engaging with us every day. Whether it’s providing salt and minerals, monitoring their water, or indulging them with cattle cake, these animals are essential to our livelihood.
In late September of 1999, my late husband, Print, and I stumbled upon a photo of a tiny Scottish Highland on Instagram. After nearly a week of research and phone conversations, we connected a horse trailer and traveled over 1,180 miles to a small town near Chesterfield, VA to buy our first miniature Scottish Highlands. We purchased three bred heifers and two young bulls to return to Chesterfield to begin our herd. We swiftly grew deeper and deeper in love with these stunning creatures.
Sadly, in February 2003, we lost my husband, the creative force, intellect, and strength driving our endeavor. It has been difficult to progress without him alongside us. Nonetheless, ranching and breeding miniature cattle remained our passion, and instilling that enthusiasm in our children was a topic Print and I discussed and strived for daily. We are striving to uphold the legacy Print established during his brief time on Earth. We’ve gradually rediscovered our happiness by moving ahead, honoring his memory, and developing the business he cherished.
